A very generous friend of GBPT has again offered us this magnificent auction item. The winning bidder will get a full week, seven-night stay, in a beautiful, four-bedroom apartment on the shore of Lake Como, Italy.

This year there are TWO chances to win your dream Italian vacation. GB Public will host a live auction for this incredible chance at a weeklong visit to one of the most gorgeous vacation spots in Europe. This dream week in a penthouse apartment will be one of several items up for auction during our Evening Under the Stars Benefit on June 7, 2024.

But don’t despair! For those of you unable to join us that evening, we are hosting a second Digital Auction via email beginning 12am, Tuesday, June 4 until 12pm, Friday, June 7th. The winning bid will be contacted by us directly and put in touch with the owner to schedule their Italian dream vacation!

The Details:

  • The Dream-Week-on-Lake Como auction winners will be put in touch with the apartment owner to schedule their stay.

  • The Lake Como vacation home winners will be responsible for their own transportation to the apartment. The house is a 90-minute drive from Milan-Malpensa Airport or easily accessible by train and hydrofoil. 

  • The week is defined as Saturday to Saturday.

  • The one-week vacation can occur any Saturday to Saturday through December 2025.

  • The apartment is a third-floor walk-up with two flights of winding granite stairs.

  • There are four bedrooms, sleeping up to eight people, consisting of three queens and two twin beds

  • Two bedrooms face the lakefront. All bedrooms are distributed between three bedroom wings.

  • The vacation home includes three bathrooms, washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen: gas stove, oven, refrigerator-freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker as well as a smart TV, printer, WI-FI. The living room and dining room have lakefront views.

  • There is one private gated parking space.

  • The main piazza of Menaggio is only a 30-second stroll away

  • Guests will have use of a shared private, gated garden.

  • The only occupancy cost to the winners is a €195 cleaning fee to be left in cash the lakefront residence upon departure.
